Civic Buildings

Whether it’s police stations, fire stations, or a library, 2KG has built them from the ground up. We’ve remodeled existing structures, performed seismic upgrades, and completed fire and life safety upgrades so that structures are code compliant and safe.

2KG has over two decades of experience completing school remodels, additions and new facilities. More than half of our volume is in the education market. Some of our clients include: Forest Grove School District, Hood River Schools, Woodburn Schools, Camas Schools, Evergreen Schools, Portland Public Schools, Gresham-Barlow Schools, Chemeketa Community College, West Linn Wilsonville School District, the Beaverton School District, and the new high school for the Nestucca School District with a value of $10 million. All of these projects required fast execution and strict adherence to scheduling and budgetary requirements.

Bridges

While no two snowflakes are alike, neither are bridges. We have constructed new bridges and performed seismic upgrades and general retrofits on existing structures. 2KG has successfully completed bridge projects for ODOT and other public clients. Each of these projects have tight timelines, involve complicated site restrictions and require close coordination with the general public. 2KG enjoys the challenges presented in the building of these structures. 

With deep experience in the industrial market, 2KG has constructed many transportation facilities that involve multiple buildings and large site development. We have built concrete tilt-up structures and erected pre-engineered metal buildings. Our projects have included structures as large as 30,000 SF and sites as large as five acres. These projects have economies of scale that can lead to better production rates for project owners. 

Water Treatment/Wastewater/Pools

2KG has constructed pump/lift stations, waste water system facilities, water processing facilities, Aquifer Storage Recovery, potable water reservoirs, built new public pools, and performed pool renovation projects. These projects rely heavily on 2KG’s self-performed resources, extensive coordination and the execution of complicated site infrastructure work. 

For smaller projects, 2KG owns a fleet of small equipment that is well suited for lower site impacts such as park renovation projects. We have successfully executed park projects for clients such as the City of Portland, City of Lake Oswego, City of Woodburn, City of Salem, and Multnomah County.

Our additional experience includes: food service facilities, church renovations, tenant improvements, office remodels, stadium remodels, site development, and small road projects. 

We don’t monkey around… unless it was to complete the Oregon Zoo Predators of the Serengeti and Red Ape Reserve exhibits valued at over $6 million.
